Spurs have been dealt two huge transfer blows on deadline day.First, it was reported by David Ornstein that Chelsea wouldn’t let Olivier Giroud leave, while Real Sociedad have now confirmed that there won’t be any further movement out of the club.
Translated, the message reads: “This last market day is working to close the exit of the Club @RubenPardo. In the winter market there will be no more movements in the current template.”
Tottenham had been eyeing up a move for their striker Willian Jose in the final days and hours of the winter window, with Sky Sports reporting as recently as this morning that the two clubs were still in discussions.

Sociedad had reportedly offered him to Manchester United, a deal they rejected, but Spurs were hopeful of a loan deal after initially being put off by their £25m asking price.
Yet, with the club themselves now confirming there would be no more movement, it appears as though Jose Mourinho’s men will again be forced to look elsewhere in their hunt to find cover for the injured Harry Kane.
With Giroud already off the table, it remains to be seen whether the north London outfit will actually bring in a forward.
