According to reports in the Southern Daily Echo, Newcastle United remain keen to sign Spartak Moscow attacker Quincy Promes, who earns £7m (around £135,000-a-week) through his wages before tax according to the Daily Mail, this summer, and Magpies fans have been quick to react to the rumour.
The Southern Daily Echo reports that the Tyneside outfit, along with Premier League rivals Southampton and Everton, are keen on the prolific 26-year-old winger, who ended the 2017/18 campaign with 21 goals and 10 assists in 38 appearances in all competitions for the Russian club.
The Netherlands international has netted 75 goals in 163 games for Spartak and previous side FC Twente, and he would surely boost a Newcastle frontline that only scored 39 times in their 38 top flight matches last term.

Newcastle supporters, who have all agreed that getting rid of a former 23-year-old star in 2017 was a mistake, took to social media to give their thoughts on the latest link, and while one said “this would be the dream”, another said he had “phenomenal goalscoring stats for a winger”.
