Southampton suffered their fourth straight defeat on Saturday afternoon.
Indeed, since drawing 1-1 with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on October 19, the Saints have lost to Leicester City, Manchester City and Everton in the league, in addition to a 3-1 loss to Pep Guardiola’s side in the EFL Cup.
Granted, the two defeats to the English champions were not much of a surprise, but the 9-0 home loss to Leicester is bound to have had an impact.
Southampton welcomed a struggling Everton side on Saturday, but it proved to be another disappointing match as the visitors left with all three points.
After the contest, Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl discussed what had occurred in a video posted on the club’s official Twitter account.
And many of the supporters feel that their manager has finally given up during a very tough period for all concerned with the club.
